Sons of Italy - Il Mezzogiorno Lodge
The Order of Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) was established in 1905 in Little Italy, New York as a mutual aid society for Italian immigrants. It was called L'Ordine Figli d'Italia," which is Italian for "The Order of Children of Italy."
At present, OSIA has more than 600,000 members and a network of more than 700 Lodges coast to coast, making it the leading service and advocacy organization for the nation's estimated 26 million people of italian descent.
Il Mezzogiorno Lodge #2794 was chartered in 2002 to service Italian Americans from Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties in New Jersey.
